With our excitement and commitment to the window & door industry, we decided to invest in the machinery, facility, and training to open up our own window & door fabrication shop. With our local fabrication facility, Austin Retrofit builds Reynaers thermally broken aluminum windows & doors, imported from Belgium. We are the only Reynaers fabrication facility in the state of Texas and one of only a handful in the entire US. Having our own fabrication facility allows us complete control of manufacturing timeframes and quality control, enabling us to achieve our core mission: complete customer satisfaction.

This company gave me faith again in contractors that do what they say and even beyond. They were respectful of me and my home. They were on time, careful and knew what they were doing. They even went beyond what they said and repaired the terrible work of another contractor who had installed windows for me previously. They not only installed the new windows, caulked and re-trimmed them, they disposed of the old windows and cleaned the areas of work as well. At the end there were no surprises and no price hikes. I can't say enough good things about this company and its people. I highly recommend this company.

On install day it was incredible, there were a team of 5 guys, each with a specific job that they did completely professionally. They brought protective covering for my carpet and furniture and cut every single piece of framing and molding to measure right there on the spot. The door slides like a dream and is much more aesthetically pleasing and energy efficient than my old door which was the original one installed when the house was built in 1970.

These guys stand behind their work and their products, PERIOD. Our windows were installed in a day, the crew, led by John Nelson, Jr., was courteous, professional, personable, and knew what they were doing. They cleaned up well after finishing, too. Our new Simonton windows are remarkable. Not only are they incredibly energy efficient compared to our old windows, they block outside sound better and look great, too.

First of all, I had them do full house window replacements about 4 years ago and was very happy with that. So I had no hesitation in contacting them again for this job. I've always had great responsiveness from them, whether during sale, installation or service after the fact. What I really like is that they don't just have a routine where they sell and install their products. They SOLVE PROBLEMS and that was important in my situation both times (the windows and this door). This installation was just completed and I can't predict the future, but I was very impressed with the attention to detail, especially in regards to my specific concerns in this door area. The job looks really solid. If anything arises in the future, based on my past experiences I have utmost confidence that they will deal with it. One final thought... I'm always impressed how well they clean up at the end of a job. Highly recommend.

Could not ask for more! John educated us on pros and cons of different types of doors and windows and costs. We were able to see a variety of doors and windows at their warehouse/showroom. We also were educated on installation. Installation was an EXCELLENT experience, my best contractor experience EVER! They showed up on time, explained what they were doing, protected my carpet and house, cleaned up as they went, painted trim, cleaned all the glass after installation, vacuumed, reinstalled blinds, finished slightly ahead of schedule.

SO IMPRESSED!!! Austin Retrofit was wonderful and I would absolutely use them again. They were polite, efficient and extremely organized. I have never seen such an organized crew. Each window must have been cleaned 5 times during installation. Several of the windows had unique operating systems, that were fully explained and demonstrated to us. A fixed transom window above our front entry door required a special flexible coving to match it to our window casements and Austin Retrofit handled it flawlessly. Their attention to detail is unsurpassed and results in a beautiful finished product. The product, the installation and customer service have all exceeded our wildest expectations. This is a GREAT family run business and I would never use anyone else for windows on my home. ​

This is an excellent company with an excellent product. We purchased a new house and had it totally renovated, including new windows. The old windows were not working, were not energy efficient and were not safe. John Nelson, the owner, and Cody visited our house and took measurements, provided advice to our plans and made recommendations. There was no pressure at all, and they gave us new ideas.

The work team included the owner's son, John, who is a real professional and craftsman. We had the have the team come back at least three times to make some adjustments, mainly due to foundation work being done on the house, and every time they came back without complaint or extra cost. We consider ourselves very lucky to have found this company.

I want to thank Cody and John, Jr. for another amazing job. Bryan and his team were fantastic - and immaculate - as always!! Their work is impeccable! That big front window must have been a bear to install, but the crew did it with aplomb.

We had Austin Retrofit replace most of the windows on the back of our house. We had 2 issues, leaky windows and a beautiful view that was being blocked by old grated windows. They spent a great deal of time with us helping us design the type of windows and the configuration of the windows for our house. The windows we got are beautiful and energy efficient. They did an incredible job installing the windows and took the utmost care to protect the inside and outside of our home. They cleaned up after themselves so that all that was left was beautiful, new windows. They are wonderful to work with, honest and dependable.
